Repurposed Thrift Find Is Now A Personalized Treasure For My Sister

I have been away for awhile, not literally... just away from updating my blog.  I have been checking in daily though to see how my fellow bloggers are doing and to see the new and creative things they have been up to.  I also have some very talented friends on facebook that have been very creative too....people like Tonya...go girl go!!!

I haven't been up to as much as some of you have but I finally did get one little thing done so here it is....Hope you enjoy!

Now its all tucked away safe and sound in its new home all because someone had a birthday (and it just so happened that her name has six letters).

BTW Sis.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Now here is a little something that I have great plans for...just hope I get time to get around to it soon...

Southern Charm

Have you ever been to a place that you just felt you needed to share with others??  Well I have found just such a place that is beautiful, serene, comfortable and picturesque. 

Its The Ashley Inn located just outside of Lancaster, KY.  I have been there a couple of times for business meetings but love it more every time I go there.  Its one of those places that takes you back in time and makes you wonder what life must have been like when the house was built. 

It has been restored and the beautiful furnishings are reminiscent  of the Southern charm that the area is known for.  It is available for business meetings, weddings, reunions, photo shoots and I was told they have even had scrap booking parties there.  Maybe you just need a little get away with the hubby or maybe a girls weekend out, whatever the event is this would be the perfect spot.

Sibling Love

Okay....tonights post isn't about crafting, decorating, thrifting or Willow House.  Did you ever just have one of those days where something happens that makes you think...How lucky am I???

Well today was my day for that to happen!

Yes, my wonderful siblings may kill me when they find out about this (the picture not the post) but I realized yet again how lucky I am to have been blessed with the best brothers and sister anyone could ever have!!!

Now mind you we have all grown up (and out), hair has changed colors, some of us even have the most amazing sparkles in our hair but not me I choose not to let mine shine (thanks Terri).  We've laughed, cried and even fought along the way but in the end we love each other.   

Yes, tonight is my night to be sappy but those who know me know that it's not that uncommon for me to have moments like this....I personally like them....gives me that warm fuzzy feeling and makes me smile thinking about happy moments we shared as kids.

So with all this being said, I won't bore you to tears but just wanted to give a big shout out to my brothers and sister to say LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
